Quantum Computing and Devices (QCD)
The Quantum Computing and Devices (QCD) group was formed in October 2007 in the Academy of Finland Center of Excellence in Computational Nanoscience (COMP). Since 2012, the premises of our research group has been referred to as QCD Labs. We keep an open mind and explore the most interesting and promising pathways to reach maximal quality and productivity in our research. Our research themes vary from the very fundamental theory of quantum mechanics to applied and experimental physics. The different topics in our research are Bose-Einstein condensates, quantum information processing, nanoelectronics, theory of open quantum systems and fluctuations in nanoscale systems, as well as quantum mechanical current standards.

Nov 15, 2011, OPEN POSITIONS! Many post doctoral and PhD student positions are open in the renewedCOMP including our group. Positions are mainly directed towards theoretical and computational work but also excellent experimentalists and especially researchers with strong theoretical background and true interest also in experiments are encouraged to apply. The dead line for the positions is passed already but we are constantly looking for excellent physicists!
