 There are currently two postdoctoral positions, and one doctoral position open:

Postdoctoral Position in Soft Matter Physics

A postdoctoral position in the field of experimental soft matter physics and fluid dynamics is open at Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland (Prof. Robin Ras, http://physics.aalto.fi/smw ).

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • conduct research on rheology and surface tension effects of magnetic droplets
  • publish research outcomes in high-impact peer-reviewed journals
  • work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
  • assist in the supervision of PhD students

The position is immediately available. Salary is based on the university salary scheme.

REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS

ERC Consolidators grant is funding a postdoctoral position in the field of nano- and microtechnology at Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland (Prof. Robin Ras, http://physics.aalto.fi/smw).

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • conduct research on superhydrophobic surfaces, their fabrication by chemical synthesis and microfabrication, their in-depth characterization, and their application in technologies
  • publish research outcomes in high-impact peer-reviewed journals
  • work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
  • assist in the supervision of PhD students

 The position is immediately available. Salary is based on the university salary scheme.
