Title of the dissertation is: Printed and low-temperature-processed indium oxide thin-film transistors for flexible applications
Jaakko Leppäniemi, M.Sc., will defend the dissertation "Printed and low-temperature-processed indium oxide thin-film transistors for flexible applications" on 9 June 2017 at 1pm in Aalto University School of Science, lecture hall AS1, Maarintie 8 (former Otaniementie 17), Espoo.
In the dissertation, the fabrication of metal oxide semiconductors using printing techniques, such as flexographic and inkjet-printing, was explored. By utilizing a low-wavelength ultraviolet light exposure, the printed precursor layers could be converted to indium oxide semiconductors on flexible plastic substrates and used in thin-film transistors, whose performance was comparable or beyond the amorphous silicon transistors that are used in the current flat panel displays.
